Adopt-A-Class is a 501(c)(3) educational charity that supports three Loudon County local public elementary schools with volunteer services, supplies and program support. Volunteers help in classrooms, complete projects at home, collect and distribute donated supplies, and participate in fundraisers. The charity annually purchases hundreds of items requested by teachers and staff for enrichment, organization and health.

Carefully trained CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers are appointed by the Juvenile Judge to serve the best interest of a child at risk for abuse and neglect in the family courts. The CASA volunteer investigates and monitors the case providing judiciary reports and speaking at court hearings as necessary.

The mission is to facilitate the highest level of health attainable for every person in Loudon County through advocacy, identification of needs, public awareness and programming. The council’s Positive Peer Pressure Clubs (P3) provide students opportunities to develop leadership skill, to work on issues such as bulling and tobacco use, and to mentor younger students.

The program provides search and rescue of individuals that have wondered off and may become lost due to Alzheimer’s, autism or other memory disorders. Program includes a bracelet worn by the individual and a tracking device used by the tracking team to locate the individual who has wondered off.

The Hearing and Speech Foundation
